Our own Professor Evelyn Alsultany was recently interviewed by the Arab American Institute (AAI) on the prevalence and spreading of Arab and Muslim stereotypes in the media.

In her 2012 book, Arabs and Muslims in the Media: Race and Representation after 9/11, Alsultany takes on shows like 24, Homeland and Tyrant, and discusses how they reinforce negative stereotypes of Arabs and Muslims, even through their supposed "positive" characters.
